Don’t know about you, but I’ve had problems with various kinds of audio breakup when switching screens on the iPad. They’re the result of DSP spikes, but nobody knows quite why they happen, apparently. This thread is a useful exploration of what’s been tried. The Bram Bos discussion of all the stuff you should turn off if it’s not needed is here (it’ll also conserve battery power). Bottom line: it’s a bit of nastiness somewhere in the OS, but you can take some steps to ensure that it happens as little as possible.
